DESCRIPTION: 10-minute single pet photo sessions with professional photographer Pipi Ray Diamond and our special Valentine’s Day Kissing Booth background. You’ll pick your favorite photo online 1 week later to be printed and mounted at a size of 5”x7” with wooden display stand.

The name Plaid Friday was conceived from the idea of weaving the individual threads of small businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses. Plaid Friday is the fun and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday.” If you really want to be hip, wear plaid!
Paws & Claws is excited to be hosting two wonderful info booths on Sat. July 12 from 11am-1pm in our parking lot!
From 12pm-1pm, the Dimond Public Library will have an info table to learn about the “Paws to Read”. Find out how kids, teens, and adults can participate in Oakland Public Library’s “Paws to Read” Summer Reading Challenge. Youth participating in the reading challenge will have a chance to win coupons & gift certificates to places such as Fenton’s Ice Cream, Chabot Space & Science Center, Pasta Pomodoro and Paws & Claws.
From 11am-1pm, Honest Kitchen a natural, human grade, dehydrated pet food will be giving out free samples and letting folks know about their great products!
Stop by both of these booths Sat. July 12th and be entered into a Paws & Claws raffle to win a gift basket filled with some books to start the “Paws to Read” challenge and a toy & treats to keep your dog entertained while you read.

Join us for our for our 10th Annual “Howl-o-ween” Pet Parade & Costume Contest in the Dimond District. Meet in front of Paws & Claws at 2pm to parade thru the Dimond business district collecting treats. Pets, kids and adults are welcome to participant in the parade. After the parade we return to Paws & Claws, for a chance to win some fun prizes as folks compete for the Best Human & Pet Costume. This annual celebration includes some of the best dressed costumes you’ll ever see.
We will also be having a raffle for the Animal Rescue that our previous employee Tami works at in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico!

Paws & Claws presents “Pet Photos” Thursday Aug 15th, from 5-7 pm.
This will be part of the “3rd Thursday Dimond Stroll“!
For only $20 you receive a photo magazine with your pet on the cover. You can also include yourself or family in the photo. Inside the magazine you’ll receive 10 photos of various sizes, along with money saving coupons. One page will include a large photo with text needed if your pet is ever lost! Pro Arts at Paws & Claws

Delaine’s work includes colorful and whimsical mosaic portraits of Dogs and Cats created with ceramic, glass and found objects. Along with her mosaic pet portraits there will be a plethora of cat and dog related art in the parking area in front of Paws and Claws!
Amy Jo’s art will include vibrant paintings of dogs and cats on canvas and reclaimed wood. She will also be selling small prints and greeting cards made from her many dog and cat pet portraits.
This event connects the public with over 400 regional artists and is accompanied by the Pro Arts Directory of East Bay Arts. For more information and list of Open Studios near you, check out www.proartsgallery.org.
